How was your Thanksgiving Dinner???

Where were you for Thanksgiving??? Did you have somewhere to go???

Now I'm pretty sure you were able to stuff yourself to the point you got sick, right??? Well what about those who yea might have somewhere to live but don't have enough money to go and buy a good Thanksgiving dinner, or maybe they don't have any family to go to for the holiday... While you were sitting in a nice cozy place with friends and family, they were sitting by themselves contemplating weather they should have spaghettios or chicken noodle soup... Now for this thanksgiving my apartment building served 17 plates to those that didn't have anywhere to go... we had such a good turnout... so many people brought in extra food to help make the plates fuller, and we even had a delivery person who took the plates door to door.... now one of my other tenants who used to be a chef went to both homeless shelters here in town... and he helped had out food..... my mom makes hats for the Morning Star Mission Shelter, so that way we know that they'll be warm.... And a couple of my other tenants helped out at some churches....

So my question to you is did you actually help those less fortunate??? Or did you just make your annual donation??? Did you know it actually helps people a lot more if you go in in person and show your face and give out a smile or to once in a while???

So I'm asking of you for the next holiday coming up try to be a little more giving and more personable..... Your love will go a long way...

We all remember when we were back in school and everyone was running around screaming cooties, and the boys didn't want a girl to touch him in fear of getting cooties.... Well there might have been some logic to it....

Apparently women have a greater variety of bacteria than men do... Women have a greater variety of bacteria on their hands than men do, a study has found.. And everybody has more types of bacteria than researchers expected to find. The researchers aren't sure why women harbor a bigger variety of bacteria than men, but it might have something to do with the acidity of their skin...

Men generally have more acidic skin than women. Other possibilities include differences in sweat and oil gland production, the frequency of moisturizer or cosmetics applications, skin thickness and hormone production.....

So, the question remains, should guys worry about holding hands with girls???? It mostly depends on which girl... Keep in mind that the vast majority of the bacteria we have on our bodies are either harmless or beneficial.... the pathogens are a small minority.... The researchers took samples from 51 college students and tested the samples using a system for detecting bacteria DNA. they identified 4,742 species of bacteria, only 5 of which were on every hand...

The study was in Monday's 11-4-08 online edition of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.... The average hand harbored 150 species of bacteria. The left and right hands of the same individual shared only about 17 percent of the same bacteria types, the researchers found.

While the researchers emphasized the importance of regular hand-washing, they also noted that washing did not eliminate bacteria.. Either the bacterial colonies rapidly re-establish after hand-washing, or washing... does not remove the majority of bacteria taxa found on the skin surface.....

Insulin syringes recalled.....

They are recalling nearly half a million syringes for diabetics have been recalled by their manufacturer because of possible mislabeling that could lead to insulin overdoses... Covidien is recalling 4,710 boxes of single-use ReliOn syringes sold at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club nationwide between Aug.1 and Oct.8.

"Use of these syringes may lead to patients receiving an overdose of as much as 2.5 times the intended dose.... " the federal Food and Drug Administration said.The recalls applies to 31 gauge, Ice ReliOn Insulin syringes from lot number 813900. The product number is 38396-0403-02.

Have you ever read the police blotter in the newspaper??? well today was a very interesting day for me to read it..It was one of those ,wow ,look were my classmates ended up, situations....

Now i knew from looking at the sex offender web site that a previous classmate was on there, and had been to jail for raping a younger female, but i didn't realize until today that he is a habitual sex offender..... It was astonishing to me that someone i used to ride the bus with, someone i had class with, had to stoop this low by the age of 20......

now i know people make mistakes but gosh to become a habitual sex offender is a little to much..... well i know that this wasn't very informational but it did make me realize that every now and then you have to look back at those who grew up with you and see where they're at....plus its always a good thing to look at the sex offender web site just to know who's around you...
