here i am again ending a long day, but adding a little fun, and information to it.....
i heard about a t.v. program ,from a friend, stating that amphibians are becoming either extinct, or seriously rare, because their environment is becoming destroyed .....now everyone knows i love frogs, i own three right now and have had them in the past.....so to me this was horrible news....there is a huge decline in the number of species all over the planet... there has also been high numbers in deformations, now deformation is not a new concept but the numbers have been growing dramatically since 1995....there are many ways you can help keep the amphibian population afloat..... if you visit www.nwf.org/gardenforwildlife they will tell you more information on whats happening with the amphibians, ways to help keep them alive , and some basic information on different species..... so to start my part of helping i went and bought a pond liner, a new fish net, and took my buckets down to one of my favorite parks and started to catch frogs, tadpoles, fish, and crayfish...... i plan on digging my pond tomorrow after work and to put all of them in it...... while i was at the park i already began to notice a difference in the amount of creatures available...... there were only three tadpoles, a few fish, three snails, and about 10 crayfish...... that's nothing compared to what was there last year.... so if you care about amphibians at all please check the web site listed above and do something to help...
